Alternative Horizon Counseling Center has over 50 years of accumulated experience in the field of alcohol and other drug addiction counseling. Our staff consists of licensed mental health and clinical & chemical dependency counselors, along with highly skilled educators, behavioral specialist, of whom are passionate and dedicated to bringing you the care needed for a successful recovery. Update we now offer Mental Health counseling. Licensed in EMDR 

Anne Etienne,

As the Owner / Program Director of AHCC, Anne brings many years of extensive knowledge & training surrounding addiction, AoD education, counseling and coaching. Anne currently holds a Masters Level Intervention Specialist license and Clinical Addiction Specialist. Along with her background in business administration, Anne has molded this agency into a well-rounded holistic entity.  She has done extensive research on personality perception, non-verbal communication incorporating a mindfulness approach to relapse prevention. She takes an evidence based approach, using cognitive techniques that assist clients in understanding the power of thoughts.

Kristine Jordan

Clinical Director

Kristine is a Licensed Independent Social Worker with a supervising designation. She revieved her Master's degree in Social Work at Cleveland State University. Kristine has worked in several clinical settings as well as non-profit organizations. 
Kristine previously worked with a psychiatrist for over six years before opening the private practice. She has been providing treatment to individuals, couples and families since 1996. 
Kristine's work history includes: Supervisor of Adolescent Treatment, Extensive Individual and Group Therapy, Therapeutic Camp and Rope Course Facilitation, Program Development and Evaluation, Grant Writing and Research. 
Kristine is trained in the following theoretical approaches: Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, and Crisis Intervention. Kristine has a special interest in working with the following populations: trauma survivors, infertility counseling, couples therapy, and personality disorders.
