Our staff consists of licensed mental health and clinical & chemical dependency counselors, along with highly skilled educators, behavioral specialist, of whom are passionate and dedicated to bringing you the care needed for a successful recovery.
As the Owner / Program Director of AHCC, Anne brings many years of extensive knowledge & training surrounding addiction, AoD education, counseling and coaching. Anne currently holds a Masters Level Intervention Specialist license and Clinical Addiction Specialist. Along with her background in business administration, Anne has molded this agency into a well-rounded holistic entity. She has done extensive research on personality perception, non-verbal communication incorporating a mindfulness approach to relapse prevention. She takes an evidence based approach, using cognitive techniques that assist clients in understanding the power of thoughts.
Dawn holds a BA in Psychology, 7-12 grade social studies teaching licensure, and a masters degree in school counseling. She is a licensed school counselor and a licensed professional counselor. She teaches high school history, psychology and sociology. She also has a private practice in Rocky River where she treats people with a wide varitety of mental health concerns.
Dawn is a firm believer that all people are deserving of dignity and respect, and that it's important to meet people where they are in life and always approach people with unconditional love. She helps people realize that they matter and deserve to be heard.
Kristine is a Licensed Independent Social Worker with a supervising designation. She revieved her Master's degree in Social Work at Cleveland State University. Kristine has worked in several clinical settings as well as non-profit organizations.
Kristine previously worked with a psychiatrist for over six years before opening the private practice. She has been providing treatment to individuals, couples and families since 1996.
Kristine's work history includes: Supervisor of Adolescent Treatment, Extensive Individual and Group Therapy, Therapeutic Camp and Rope Course Facilitation, Program Development and Evaluation, Grant Writing and Research.
Kristine is trained in the following theoretical approaches: Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, and Crisis Intervention. Kristine has a special interest in working with the following populations: trauma survivors, infertility counseling, couples therapy, and personality disorders.
Kia Hurley, LPC, LICDC

Kia Hurley is Licensed Professional Counselor in the Cleveland area and is a native of Cleveland. She has worked several years in the social service and mental health fields with various populations. After working for Cuyahoga County for several years as a social worker, Kia saw the gaps in services available for individuals who needed assistance and felt the need to do something to help the community she grew up in. Kia decided to return to graduate school to obtain an advanced degree. Kia graduated from Cleveland State University in 2011 with a Master’s Degree in Community Agency Counseling. Kia enjoys working with all people and her compassionate nature makes her easy to talk to. She has the ability to connect with the people she counsels and is able to relate as she is aware of the issues in the various communities. Kia looks forward to meeting you.
